The executive members of Local 2025 propose that the following resolution be sent to the upcoming annual meeting of the Unifor Canadian Council.

Truth and Reconciliation Commission calls to action
- Whereas the Truth and Reconciliation Commission spent more than five years listening to the stories of survivors of the residential school system and reviewing 100 years of evidence; and
- Whereas the Commission has now issued its final report; and
- Whereas the Commission has proposed 94 recommendations that call on all levels of government to take action to redress the disgraceful legacy of residential schools;
Be it resolved that UNIFOR express its full support for the 94 calls to action that represent the first step toward redressing the legacy of Residential Schools and starting the process of reconciliation.
