September 30 is a statutory holiday

As you saw in the reminder message from the employer, this Friday September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day is a statutory holiday in the PSAC-Local 2025 Collective Agreement. We negotiated this during the last round of bargaining. USJE has recognized it as a holiday and it is noted by the local to be included in the next round of USJE-Local 2025 bargaining.

Activities in your community

We encourage Local 2025 members to participate in activities commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in your community or virtually, or to do some independent learning and reflection. Below are a few examples but please feel free to share additional ones that may interest Local 2025 members!
